IFMA, Toronto Chapter, and the BOMA Toronto CDM Program Cooperate on Conservation

(February 11, 2010) The BOMA Toronto Conservation & Demand Management (CDM) Program and the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Toronto Chapter, are pleased to announce their cooperation in bringing energy conservation information, education and cash incentives to the membership of IFMA.
The BOMA CDM Program fully supports the efforts of IFMA in their efforts to bring energy conservation initiatives for the more effective management of their member’s facilities.

The BOMA Toronto CDM Program has been contracted to deliver electricity conservation to the Ontario commercial real estate market as part of the Ontario Power Authority's larger plan to deliver 6300 megawatts of electricity reduction in Ontario from various sources. The available incentives, capped at 40% of the eligible projects costs, are for on-peak demand, annual consumption or cooling ton reduction. The Program is designed to maximize participation by the avoidance of both 'process' and 'contractual' complications and the quick delivery of incentive payments.
