Wood WORKS! seeks nominees for 8th Annual Awards Program

Awards to recognize excellence and innovation in wood-based design and construction in Ontario
(Toronto / North Bay, Ontario) Wood WORKS! has opened the nomination process for the 2008 Wood WORKS! Awards. The program showcases Ontario's best wood designs and wood-based projects and recognizes the people and organizations whose expertise and innovation expands the use of wood in Ontario.
This year, the Awards Gala will showcase the Province's best use of wood and wood products in construction in front of 400+ peers from the design community, including architects, engineers, distributors, suppliers, government officials, industry representatives and academics. The awards ceremony recognizes all the nominees in each category and provides a detailed description of each award winning project.

There are 12 award categories including:
Green Building Wood Design, Interior Wood Design, Residential Wood Design, Multi-Unit Wood Design, Commercial Wood Design, Institutional Wood Design under $10 million, Institutional Wood Design over $10 million, Northern Ontario Excellence, Jury's Choice, Engineer Wood Advocate, Architect Wood Advocate and Wood Champion.
