Mr. Valiante is available to discuss the 2006 Statistics Canada Census data concerning Canadian transportation trends and the dramatic increase in bicycle use across Canada.
Mr. Valiante will discuss the 20% increase since 2001 of Canadians who have adopted the bike as their primary method of transportation and the rise in the number of females over their male counterparts who chose to use a bike.
BTAC is a key organizer of the 2008 Bike Summit which will be held in Toronto at the end of April. The Summit will bring together international cycling policy makers and government representatives with the hope of increasing bike ridership in Canada.
